UCL Trellis Festival 2021
Join us for our free online event at the UCL Trellis Festival 2021 to find out about our Xenia Citizen Science art project on compostable plastic, food waste and composting. The project is a collaboration with artist Sarah Carne and Xenia, an organisation for women learning English and women who speak English, based at Hackney Museum. Knowledge, language and learning was shared around compostable plastic, food waste and composting, in the process prompting a consideration of care in the practices of the participants and project partners.
This event invites you to join us via Zoom in celebrating the culmination of the Xenia Citizen Science art project and the launch of the anthology A Bitter Orange Tree and an Orange Tree: Practices of Care which foregrounds the voices and thinking of those involved in the experiment and in the development of the anthology itself. We will share the outcome of the plastic waste composting experiment along with live readings and a Q&A.
To request a free copy of A Bitter Orange Tree and an Orange Tree: Practices of Care please contact artist Sarah Carne with your postal details.
